Pumping iron is the only proven way by which you could get those muscles. However, before we discuss how to build muscle fast, there are a few things to consider. First of all, it is very necessary to drink lots of water. Water helps you gain muscles faster, not only by improving your metabolism, but also by improving your strength and stamina. Another important aspect is to eat healthy food and focus on protein rich foods. Last but not the least never let your motivation level go down.

Now that you know about the prerequisites, we shall go ahead and discuss a few workouts that build muscle fast:

1. Barbell bench press
This workout is performed while lying face up over a flat bench. Your feet should be firmly planted on the ground. Now, grip the bar with palms down and slightly wider. Now lift the bar and then lower it in a controlled manner to your lower pectorals. Once the bar touches the chest, lift it away from your body till your arms are fully stretched. You must inhale while you lower the bar and exhale while you lift it.

2. Incline flyes
For this exercise, the bench should be inclined between 30 and 45 degrees. Now firmly plant your feet on the ground and, hips, shoulders and head pressed against the bench. Grab the dumbbells in each hand with palms facing inward, and arms extended above the head. Keep your arms in a barrel hugging position. Now lower the dumbbells in an arc, in a controlled manner to your shoulders. Now, at the lower end of the arc, reverse this motion and then return the dumbbells to the starting position.

3. Flat Dumbbell Bench Press
This workout is performed while lying face up over a flat bench with the feet planted firmly on the ground. Grip the dumbbells palms facing away. Extend your arms fully above your chest. Now lower the dumbbells to sides of the chest in a controlled fashion. Press the weight upward, and bringing them together above your chest at the top.
