Since the first one came out in 1985, the Air Jordan series has influenced a lot of other designs. During the same time period, NIKE, Inc. has used parts of Michael Jordan’s main line of products to build on the player’s legacy and its own. The most recent one is the Jordan Two Trey.
The mudguard provides comfort and excellent court protection
Some of the signature shoes that #23 wore on the court during the end of his time with the Chicago Bulls were the inspiration for the latest hybrid silhouette. Accents that look like “Bordeaux” link the shoe to both the Air Jordan 7 and the Air Jordan 6 (“Maroon” is similar). Mudguards and the many overlays on the upper don’t match the color of the shoe’s name. Instead, they are grey and white, which makes the muted red color stand out even more. Under the foot, the basketball-inspired sole unit chooses an icy blue traction solution that is used for branding and design accents in the same color.
With the re-releases of Jordan’s signature shoes and remakes of the many iconic Air Jordan 1 colorways, this latest Jordan Two Trey from the brand’s lineup looks to build on its basketball roots. The classic “Bordeaux” colorway is a good choice, and it’s likely that a lot of people will want to buy it.
