The Air Jordan 1 Mid is often based on old hits like “Bred” and “Chicago.” Jordan Brand has put the clock back about a year by using parts of the “Hyper Royal” colorway from 2021.
This shoe has a durable fit and an appealing colorway
There are, however, a few key differences. For example, the Wings/Jumpman logo is dressed in bright red, while the laces and lining are dressed in deep blue. The next-door construction, on the other hand, is almost the same as the “Hyper Royal.” Its suede overlays are even the same shade of blue. Also, the base, Swoosh, and midsole have a close but not exact arrangement of white and grey.
This AJ 1 Mid is still based on the original Jordan 1, so it’s not a completely new shoe. But the Hyper Royal colorway is one of Air Jordan and designer Tinker Hatfield’s best ideas that has never been made public. So, for collectors, this pair is just as important as anything else Jordan Brand has made this year.
