Tinker Hatfield, Elizabeth Brock-Jones, and Kendal Bagby worked with Jordan Brand to make the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Women in Flight,” which is only available in two pairs and is a WMNS exclusive.

The design details go beyond what you can see

Brock-Jones and Bagby were told by Hatfield to make a shoe that represents three important things: the University of Oregon, women’s sports, and Title IX. By matching the Ducks’ signature colors on the Air Jordan 1 Mid, the three pay tribute to the team. The lining, Swoosh, and tread are all bright yellow, while the rest of the upper is a mix of greens. And at the top of the tongue, just above the rounded, recycled laces, is the Title IX logo that Hatfield designed himself. This logo matches the one carved into the wooden packaging next to the slogan “Go Do Anything.” Also, the pair is wrapped in a special paper that has the law written out in full.

These are a fantastic pair of Air Jordan line that honor both women’s sports and the University of Oregon. The parties involved put a lot of thought into this collaboration, and you can see it in every detail.
