Sneaker boots used to be all the rage, but now they aren’t as popular. Nike made tough versions of many of their classic silhouettes, but they aren’t as popular as they used to be. The Air Force 1 was one of those shoes, and the Lunar Force 1 Duckboot, one of its many winterized versions, is about to make an unexpected comeback.
The hues and textures make the pair look like it was made to be worn on Mars
The only thing this pair has in common with the famous duck boot, which was made famous by L.L. Bean, is the way it’s put together. Earlier versions, however, had a much closer color match. Here, light tans and olives are used instead of the waterproof staple’s usual wheat and dark brown. The second one shows off the textured, star-covered toe box, while the first one dresses up a lot of the nearby parts, like the lace hardware, tumbled leather Swoosh, and water-resistant paneling. Black is also used to color the shoelaces and the tread on the Lunar sole.
With a tan upper, the Nike Lunar Force 1 Duckboot is back and ready for colder weather. This is a return to its ancestors’ ducky roots, and the result is pretty amazing.
