THE DEFINITION OF AIR IS PRINTED ON THE NIKE AIR MAX 1

Along with the many Air Force 1 40th Anniversary shoes, there are also a number of nods to Nike Air. Before, we’ve seen direct tributes to Marion “Frank” Rudy, who invented cushioning. With this new Air Max 1, the brand is literally defining the technology.

This reissue adds a modern touch to a classic design

The page for this definition, which talks about the materials and functions of Nike Air, is printed on the tongue of the shoe. A light, Volt-colored logo sits just below it. This logo is the only one that matches the branding on the insole. On the outside, the Swooshes and Air Max embroidery, which is slightly tilted, are done in a much darker olive color that stands out against the rest of the construction, which is done in white mesh and cream suede.

Summary

The Nike Air Max 1 is a shoe worth noticing. If you like the clean look that often comes with minimalism, then a closer look will tell you why. The structure is both simple and useful. It’s a job well done, and we hope to see more of this versatile style in the future.
