In 2020, Stussy brought back the Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 and the Air Kukini in a sole-swapped hybrid form. Next, they’re bringing back the Nike Air Max 2015 of all models.
The “fossil” design on these new sneakers’ mesh may appeal to retro-lovers
Based on these official first looks, the silhouette is made of a hemp-like material, and the main layer is a mesh that looks like netting. The backwards Swoosh logo is still there. It is covered in black, and there is a STUSSY logo at the end of the laces and on the tongue. Like they did with the Spiridon Cage 2, Stussy covers the normally clear polyurethane with a matte finish on the Air unit. If past collaborations between Stussy and Nike are any indication, there will probably be at least one more colorway of this Nike Air Max 2015. You could go with a simple black-and-white color scheme or a more eye-catching metallic chrome silver.
The Stussy x Nike Air Max 2015 collaboration is an excellent purchase for the upcoming warm weather season. Not only does it honor the fact that the famous silhouette has been around for thirty years, but it also tries to make the Air Max cool again.
