NIKE'S NEW AIR FORCE 1 HONORS THE VIBRANT ENERGY OF NEW ORLEANS

New Orleans, or “Nola” as it’s often called, is known for being a place of extravagance. Nike’s newest pair of Air Force 1s is inspired by this spirit.

The design sticks out as it uses many New Orleans images

With a Houston-inspired colorway, the Air Force 1 “Nola” is probably part of a larger City Pack. This is a theme that Nike has used many times before. Here, the brand gives a few obvious nods to New Orleans. First of all, “NOLA” is written across the heel with the shape of Louisiana in place of the “L.” Also, the city’s area code, “504”, is written next to it and on top of the golden charm on the lace unit. More gold details are on the eyelets, heel tab, and edge of the Swoosh, which has silver glitter on the side.

Conclusion

Nike worked hard to make sure that each “City Pack” city’s lively spirit and unique personality came through. The goal of the brand is to make a shoe for each city that shows what it means to be from that place. New Orleans was the best place for the Air Force 1 to focus on.
