Nike SB’s new version of the Blazer Mid Edge is a lot less flashy than past versions, like the now-defunct Blazer Mid Edge. And to go with the “Black/White” pair that came out just a few days ago, the silhouette will also be released in “Olive.”
This shoe’s color choice emphasizes less is more
The silhouette’s more noticeable details, like the embroidered Swoosh and the suede-reinforced toe, are done up in lighter neutrals that match the midsole and the tumbled leather parts of the check. The heel tab and tongue label do the same thing, highlighting the olive finish of the logos that are overlaid. Lastly, this green is used to color the canvas/suede base, eye stays, and laces to finish the shoe.
The Blazer Mid is one of the few Nike skateboarding silhouettes that never really went out of style. This new Olive colorway looks pretty good here, and the simple design helps make it versatile without being too flashy.
