NIKE INTRODUCES THE AIR FORCE 1 PLT.AF.ORM IN “SAGE/BEETROOT”

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Bruce Kilgore’s original Nike Air Force 1 silhouette, but that hasn’t stopped the brand from trying new things with the design. The PLT.AF.ORM for women is a good example.

The Swoosh rethinks the classic silhouette with a futuristic vibe

As the name of the duo suggests, the relatively new style takes Kilgore’s idea from 1982 to a whole new level. The made-for-basketball layout has been updated and made more fashion-forward with a reworked upper and profile swooshes that are not in the usual places. The Air Force 1-variant has an experimental look thanks to the off-center update on top and the split sole unit. Sage and Beetroot colors add to the sneaker’s newness by adding another color combination to the long list of options that the Nike Sportswear staple has.

Summary

In general, this is a good change. Even though the Nike Air Force 1 PRM PLT in Sage/Beetroot is full of color, the designer seems to have found a good balance so that it doesn’t look too busy. If you like being unique and don’t mind standing out, this is a great pair to add to your collection.
