As the sneaker world waits for the “Chicago” Air Jordan 1 Reimagined to come out on October 29, NIKE, Inc. keeps releasing more affordable versions of Peter Moore’s famous design.
The shoe’s color scheme and materials make the wait worthwhile
The Air Jordan 1 Mid recently came out in a purple velvet version that seemed to be for women only. The soft fabric mentioned above covers everything from the tip of the toe to the top of the heel, giving the shoe a trendy look. The laces are also made of a luxurious-feeling material, but the profile swooshes and “Wings” logos on the side ankle flap are stitched in a rougher way than the rest of the shoe. Underfoot, the Jordan 1-variant’s interesting look is finished off by a two-tone sole unit with purple tread.
The impending “Purple Velvet” Air Jordan 1 Mid is a knockout that sneakerheads should not pass up. It’s an unusual deviation for Air Jordan, but it works very well. AJF1-023 will look excellent with jeans or chinos thanks to its smooth tumbled leather top and brilliant purple shade.
