Nike has been stamping “Certified Fresh” on certain Air Force 1s over the last few months, with many of them coming in bright, Summer-appropriate colors. This season’s Nike Air Force 1 Mid, which debuts in “Enamel Green,” is no exception.
A mixing of modern design and retro inspiration
The midsole is dressed in a “Sail” tint, indicating the Swoosh’s affinity for vintage footwear. The upper, on the other hand, is significantly more modern, combining “Enamel Green” canvas with “Grey Fog,” a blue-hued leather overlay and laces. Additional green appears on the strap and tongue, framing the “Alpha Orange” check that’s blended in with the tongue label’s regular, neutral-colored branding.
As the saying goes, timing is everything. And with its Enamel Green collection, Nike is hitting a sweet spot in its history. We think these new releases will be worth the wait, and hopefully they won’t be so hard to organize the next time around.
