Jayson Tatum’s Air Jordan 36 “Taco Jay” colorway will finally be released on June 17th, after a long wait. The “Taco Jay” color scheme, based on the Citron Pulse, Atomic Green, and Cone colorways, was inspired by his family’s custom of eating tacos after sporting events.
Taco mascot with Swoosh emblem highlight uniqueness
Another unique aspect of this next release from Air Jordan is a taco mascot with Swoosh emblem that looks just like Tatum’s characteristic eyebrow shape. Both the insoles and the heel contain the cantina-style lettering “Taco Jay,” while a custom shoebox with a Jumpman and the foregoing food is used to package the shoes.
The Air Jordan 36 “Taco Jay” is finally coming out, which is good news for fans of Jayson Tatum. The Air Jordan 36s aren’t for everyone, but if you want a shoe that looks and feels like a throwback, you won’t be disappointed with them.
