Nike SB Dunk Low worked with several legends until the early 2010s. When the silhouette came back a few years ago, the Swoosh worked with some of these names again, including Concepts. Now, two whole years after that crustacean-themed reunion, the boutique is back with orange Lobster Dunks.
The fantastic design captures the whole feel of summer
Concepts has kept the Lobster Dunk’s design mostly the same over the years, only changing the main colors. Warm colors are used all over the upper, including on the outsole, the suede base, and the textured overlays that look like the shell of the treat. White laces meet white fat tongues next to each other. The midsoles are blacked out, and the lining has a plaid pattern like a picnic blanket. You can see the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low “Orange Lobster” in person below. It has extra laces and the signature rubber band. At the time I wrote this, there was no date set for when it would be out. There are also rumors of a “Orange Lobster” colorway for F&F, which we hope will come out soon.
Overall, the collaboration went smoothly. The design itself was good, and the materials were picked well. Since the Nike SB Dunk is one of the few sneakers that has stood the test of time, it’s always fun to see Concepts bring it back.
